My experience.
From architecture to BIM in Berlin, then to coordinating US construction while building AI products. This is the full journey.
AI Engineer & Platform Owner · Drake Hub
Sole engineer of an internal AI-first construction management platform, from architecture to production support.
- Designed and shipped a 38-table, 5-role platform: scheduling (Gantt with dependencies), daily logs, financials (schedule of values, change orders, AIA G702/G703 billing), estimating, subcontractor bidding, plan management, timesheets and a client portal.
- AI in production, not demos: field crews send a photo and a Spanish voice note and get back a structured English daily log; an assistant reads plans, logs and site photos and edits the Gantt; Q&A over construction drawings and per-project semantic search.
- An estimating pipeline (plan PDF → scope extraction → in-house pricebook → branded quote PDF) that replaced a paid third-party tool, calibrated against real submitted bids.
- Data reconciliation at scale: Google Drive/Sheets sync of the bookkeeping spreadsheets against platform financials, with staleness guards, column-shift detection, one-click undo and a daily sweep; 9 projects reconciled to the cent.
- Agentic Telegram assistant with tool-calling for tasks, finances and estimates, including daily logs submitted by voice and photo.
- Event-driven automation: scheduled SMS reminders to workers and subcontractors on active projects, personalized and deep-linked to the daily field report; QuickBooks Online through an n8n layer.
- Engineering discipline: every change verified in a real browser with Playwright against production data before deploy, weekly automated backups with a tested restore, cost caps on model calls and role-scoped access.
Project Administrator
The operations role the platform was built out of: I run the projects by day and engineer the tooling that runs them.
- Coordinate schedules, deliverables and documentation across a portfolio of active residential projects, between leadership, clients, field crews and subcontractors.
- Onboarded the company onto new systems (Buildertrend, KonstructIQ), migrating vendors, projects and change orders and reconciling historical records across jobs.
- Turned repetitive manual steps into software — templates, checklists, automated reminders and reports — which is how the platform started and why it was adopted.
- Built and launched the company website as an unsolicited initiative, including domain migration and search visibility work.
Team Leader · Point-cloud projects
From modeler to Team Leader in 4 months, leading a team of BIM modelers and CAD drafters for German real-estate clients.
- Direct client coordination: requirements, deliverables and timelines.
- Supervision and correction of technical work to ensure quality and consistency.
- Workflow planning: priorities and delivery management.
BIM Modeler / CAD Drafter
Precise as-built CAD drawings from point clouds and 3D laser scanning, integrating 3D models into construction processes.
UX & UI Designer
Brand website design and development, digital marketing and campaigns for a 5,000-person base.
- WordPress + Elementor, product photography and editing.
- Google Analytics, Mailchimp and HubSpot for tracking and automation.
Design Architect
Alicante Congress Center competition (concept design, 3D, drawings) and the El Fabuloso club remodel with on-site supervision.
